Aweber is by far our favorite company for managing an email list and has the best deliver-ability for emails in the industry. Their prices are extremely affordable and have one of the easiest to use interfaces for managing your list. They also have readily available support via live chat or phone for everyone that uses their services.

Need a web form to gather opt in emails? Aweber has a complete graphical interface and only a few steps to create one. They have tons of ready made templates you can use and implement with only a click. They also have a ready made WordPress plugin to make it even easier.

They have a special deal that gives you your first month for only 1 dollar – that includes up to 500 customers, support, unlimited emails, and 30 day money back!! This is truly the best deal out of any of the opt in email companies we’ve reviewed and is actually what we used to get started with our email marketing efforts.

iContact was a close 2nd, but that’s no indication that we like them any less – we LOVE iContact and suggest you look at them. One of iContact‘s primary goals was to include advanced features, but make them easy to use and make them affordable. There are many email companies out there, but iContact is a great example of what can be accomplished with a single goal in mind.

iContact has an amazingly easy to use interface that lets new email marketers get started today, but allows those more experienced to utilize the features they need. Regardless of whether you’re new or experienced with email marketing, iContact is truly an amazing platform that more than 600,000 users (WOW!) utilize for their email marketing efforts.

iContact is inexpensive to start, has more than 300 professionally designed email templates, allows you to schedule your messages, ensures your messages aren’t flagged as SPAM, tracks your subscribers actions within the emails, sends out surveys, and much more.

Constant Contact landed in our #3 spot since there are a few things we don’t like about them, but your opinion could be very different. They have a nice interface, but not as easy to use as others. They do have a FREE 60 Day Trial that allows up to 100 customers and includes coaching and support.

Their support and coaching is extensive and is one of their better features. They have webinars, videos, live support, and more that helps you get started quickly. The Constant Contact interface is easy to navigate and use, which is what we like about them. What we don’t like about them is the extensive set of features they offer, which can be a challenge for new users, but is great for advanced users.

They offer many templates that you can use for email newsletters, events, surveys, and more. They even offer multi-lingual templates to cater to a variety of languages. Constant Contact offers a step-by-step email wizard that assists you with their amazing templates and it’s even a drag and drop email interface so that you don’t need to learn any html. They have great tracking and reporting, which is essential in making your email campaigns more effective.

Vertical Response is somewhat newer than other providers, but it’s an established email marketing provider. They have an easy to use interface, very affordable pricing, and great customer support they’ve become known for. Vertical Response has actually won quite a few awards since they’ve been in business and one was a place on Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies and one of the best places to work – not too shabby.

Like the other companies they provide great support and this is one of the areas that Vertical Response has become known for over the years. You can easily reach them via phone or live chat for assistance. Vertical Response has extremely easy to understand interface and also provides you with step-by-step videos, but they even give you webinars to help further.

Vertical Response has an easy to use wizard, over 75,000 stock images you can use for free, automatic un-subscription, help prevent your emails from being flagged as SPAM, and have many more features! They’re truly worth checking out for your opt in email and email marketing efforts.

Stream Send has fully customizable sign-up forms that are easy to set up and launch along with having a very simple method to import and export your email lists. They also automatically handle the subscribe and unsubscribe functions, which automatically ensures that you keep an accurate email list. Although they have an opt-in confirmation option, we highly suggest that you only use opt-in email subscriptions.

You can also do list segmentation with Stream Send, which allows you to send relevant emails to your list that are based on user specific information. This is a great feature to have since it allows you to tailor your emails to meet exactly what the subscribers are looking for. They have a FREE 30 day trial that allows you to send up to 200 emails for free.

Stream Send has good technical support that’s available by phone M-F, which is why we’ve rated them as our least favorite. Even though we’ve rated them this way, they’re still extremely good since we’ve only rated the top 5 email marketing companies out there. That means even Stream Send at 1 star is still better than others out there ;)
